Android Version & UI
The Octavi os version is v2.5 and has the latest security patch of 5th May 2021 and is based on Android 11. Additionally, the about phone section displays the screen size, battery, camera, and chipset information. Moreover, the rom offers two different versions one is vanilla and another one is gapps.
The User-Interface is quite minimal and has the pixel launcher pre-installed. The notification panel has some more tiles like FPS info, Heads up, AOD, connect headphones, screen cast, and more.
Customization Features
Moving on to the customizations, we have a very minimalistic design, and to change the customizations we have the Octavi lab which is very much organized and has customizations like Octavi-theming to change the brightness slider style, settings style, switch appearance, fonts, themes, and more. Status bar to change battery styles, colored status bar icons, and more. reTicker, Ambient display, Heads up, data usage in QS Header, and a lot more.
Gestures
In System navigation, we get the option of Gesture navigation, 2-button, 3-button navigation. Moreover, we have some additional gestures like swipe to screenshot, double-tap to wake, double-tap to sleep on the status bar, toggle torch when screen off. We can also enable/disable the navbar and has some other features too.
Volume Panel
Not all the custom roms offer volume panel styles but Octavi os has this option and it works very well. We have many styles to choose from like stock, AOSP, compact, oreo, and tiled. Every new style feels refreshing.
Additional Features
There are some additional features that we get in Octavi os like we have a gaming mode and there we can block the heads-up notifications, we can also disable the automatic brightness, dynamic mode to automatically add the games in gaming mode.
Then we have XiaomiParts, to optimize the sound quality we have a Mi sound enhancer, option to clear the speaker, FPS info, GPU boost, option to enable/disable the fast-charge, and more.
Performance
The performance of Octavi os is amazing, a very much stable and battery-friendly rom. The rom can be used as a daily driver and haven't found any lags or bugs.
