Xiaomi has launched its MIUI 12 successor MIUI 13 in China on 28th December'2021 . Ways to remove ad recommendations or Pop-Up ads in MIUI 12

Xiaomi's own Android-based custom skin MIUI has infinite customization and within a short period of time MIUI skin gains a lot of popularity, and with the launch of MIUI 12 brings some new features which include Privacy protection to enhance the User security experience.

MIUI 12 also has a number of integrated system-wide ads in the MIUI interface and also in the system applications. Here are some of the steps to remove the native or spam ads from MIUI 12.

Turning off MSA and GetApps Authorisation

The first method to remove these annoying ads from MIUI 12 is to revoke the authorisation of MSA(MIUI System ads) and GetApps as MSA will disable most of the System ads but revoking these authorisations is kind of frustrating for some users as it requires the internet either wifi or mobile data.

1. Go to Settings  

2. Head over to Passwords & Security -> Authorisation & revocation

3. Now search for MSA and GetApps and disable the toggle switch also we need to wait for 10 seconds before revocation.

 


Disable ad Services

We should no longer see ads based on our personal data by disabling the Personalized ad recommendations option.

1. Go to Settings

2. Passwords & Security ->Privacy

3. Under Ad services and disable Personalized ad recommendations


Remove ads From Manage Apps

1. Go to Settings

2. Apps -> Manage Apps

3. Tap on 3 dots and head over to settings and disable recommendations


Remove ads from app lock

1. Go to Settings

2. Apps -> App lock

3. Tap on the settings icon and disable the Receive recommendations


Remove ads from Themes

1. Open Themes App

2. Head over to My page

3. Open settings and turn off Show ads and personalized recommendations


Remove ads from the MIUI Security app

1. Open Security App

2. Tap on settings and under Cleaner disable Receive recommendations

3. Under Recommendations turn of receive recommendations


Remove ads from the MI Music app

1. open the Mi Music app

2. Head over to Settings

3. Go to Advanced settings and slide down below and turn off show ads and personalized recommendations and can disable Online recommendations on startup(optional)
