Xiaomi has launched its MIUI 12 successor MIUI 13 in China on 28th December'2021 . The new MIUI 13 super wallpapers are now available for any android device. KangOs v11.5.1 rom review


KangOS inspired by AOKP(Android Open Kang Project) which offers both performance and stability and also at the same time offers lots of customizations and new features to enhance the user experience.

The current review of KangOS has been carried on Poco M2 Pro and the maintainer of this rom is bezke. In kangOS Safetynet passes by default and the build is enforcing. Moreover, the inbuilt MIUI camera is fully working. kangOS is based on Android 11 and has the latest security patch of 5th February 2021. 

Look and feel 

The Look and feel of KangOS is very much amazing as the performance of this rom is very much stable. Gapps are pre-installed in this rom. kangOS has new Wallpaper, Data usage on the Qs header, and more. 

Customizations

Talking about the customizations, we have separate options for Themes, Xiaomi Parts, and kangie's Lab. 

Themes provide us many features like Accent color, Font type, QS icons, Panel background style, Switch style which also provides us the option of OnePlus, System theme, and more. 

Xiaomi Parts includes FPS overlay, Ambient display gestures,  Mi sound enhancer to optimize the audio quality, some Kernel side modifications, and more. 

Kangie's Lab includes the customizations related to Statusbar, Quick Settings, Buttons related to playback controls, and more. Change in Animation styles, Notifications headers, and more. 

Battery

The Battery is very much stable and the ROM can be used as a daily driver but as suggested by the dev we can also use the reborn kernel to increase the SOT.
