Xiaomi has launched its MIUI 12 successor MIUI 13 in China on 28th December'2021 . Descendant X rom comes with December 5, 2020 security patch and is based on Android 11. The Descendant version is XI. The current review has been carried on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5(Whyred) but the Android R version is available for many Xiaomi devices(Here) to download the rom for your device.


Descendant Health to keep you updated and gives you notifications regarding Health like sleep notification enable notifications with tips when phone interferes with your sleep. Screen on notification that will warn you when your display is continuously on for an hour.

User - Interface

The User-Interface is pretty unique but straightforward, and the Quick settings panel is the one, Headphone toggle, Invert colors, and more. The centered Volume UI panel is also the one that grabs the attention. 



Recents Menu with a much more refreshing look and have the Screenshot, share, clear options.

Under the display, we have the Thumb UI toggle or simply we can say one-handed mode to use the device with one hand which works fine now.

Battery & Performance

The battery on Descendant is also pretty good gives a decent Screen on time but it actually depends on the usage. Talking about the performance the rom is fast and smooth even after having such customizations and will give a lag-free experience.
