Android 11 Gsi review and How to install Gsi on project Treble Device
Android 11 is on the peek and the beta builds are already out but not for every device. If your device is rooted and you want to experience the latest software released by Google then you are at the right place.
Android 11 comes with new features like better and improved security options, advanced app permissions, updated Pixel launcher, camera native video decoder and new camera features, and much more.
I'm using this Android 11 Gsi on my Redmi Note 5 Pro but you can download and install it on your Xiaomi or any Android device. These are the Gsi made by Erfan Abdi. 1. Camera: Talking about the camera we have the MIUI camera and this time there are some improvements and fixes in the camera app and also the portrait mode is now working. We, also get the Google assistant 2.0 enabled in this Gsi.
2. Power Menu: In Android 11, there are so many UI changes and bug fixes, the one change is also in the Power menu. You can see the completely revamped power menu, on the top we have emergency calling option, then Lockdown and power off and restart option.
3. Advanced App Permissions: Security is the major key factor in Android 11 as Google's main motive is to enhance privacy and for this, they have added an option to remove permissions if the app isn't used also an option to when allowing access.
4. Media And Notification center: If we talking about the notification center we have a new change which is the music controls now move into the control center and from there only we can change the speakers and in advanced settings, we have the option to hide media players when the media session has ended. Now, between the notification area and control center, they have added some space.
5. Battery: As this is the Android 11 Gsi build the battery of this Gsi is still pretty impressive. Decent battery backup and can give 5 to 6 Hrs. SOT and even more.
How To Install Android 11 R Gsi on Project Treble Devices

1. Firstly you need to check if your device supports Project treble basically, the devices come with Android Oreo out of the box supports project treble but still if you want you can check it by downloading the app from the play store. The name of the app is the Treble check.
2. Make sure you have a custom recovery like orange-fox recovery installed and have the latest update you can also use Twrp but be on the latest update.
3. If you are already on a custom ROM then just flash the ROM and wipe everything except Internal storage before wiping take a full backup.
4. If not on any custom ROM then you need to flash vendor like Pixel Experience.
5. Tap on install then select Install Image and select Gsi image and then choose as System Image. After that no need to wipe anything and reboot to system.
6. If you will face encryption issues then go to recovery, and in wipe and choose format data and type yes this will erase your internal storage and will decrypt your device.
